Origin of the Company Logo:

Daido Machinery Corporation was established on July 2nd 1947, then known as Daido Kogyo-Sho, distributing Air Compressors and Vacuum Pumps.

The logo is a combination of the letters “A” and “M” (originating from AIR MACHINERY) and the Chinese character “Dai” designed in an overlapping shape.

Significance of the Company Logo:

In 1934, Daido’s founder Kazuo Ota manufactured the very first internal gear pumps in Japan. Although the production was forced to come to a halt due to the World War, the manufacturing of internal pumps restarted in 1951.

The logo represents the Chinese character “Dai” (the first character in Daido Machinery Ciorporation, and the letters “A”, “W”, and “M” coming from AIR & WATER MACHINERY.
